The Ukrainian army announced today that the number of Russian soldiers killed and wounded since the beginning of the war on Ukraine in February 2022 has risen to about 642,420 soldiers, including 1,500 who were killed or wounded during the past twenty-four hours.
A statement published by the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine on its Facebook page, and reported by the Ukrainian National News Agency (Ukrinform) today, stated that Ukrainian forces have destroyed 8,768 tanks since the beginning of the war, including 22 tanks yesterday, 17,222 armored combat vehicles, 18,333 artillery systems, 1,195 multiple launch rocket systems, and 949 air defense systems.
The statement added that 369 warplanes, 328 helicopters, 15,628 drones, 2,595 cruise missiles, 28 warships, one submarine, 25,023 vehicles and fuel tanks, and 3,144 special equipment units were also destroyed.
