Lebanon: Death toll from Israeli raid on Beirut rises to 37

The death toll from the Israeli raid on the southern suburbs of the Lebanese capital Beirut on Friday has risen to 37, according to the Lebanese Ministry of Health.

A statement issued by the Public Health Emergency Operations Center of the Ministry of Public Health, Saturday afternoon, in a new update on the death toll from the Israeli raid on the southern suburbs of Beirut yesterday, said that the death toll had risen to thirty-seven people.

The rubble removal work is still ongoing until now.

Earlier today, Saturday, the Lebanese caretaker Health Minister, Firas Al-Abyad, announced that 31 people, including three children and seven women, had been killed so far as a result of the Israeli raid on the southern suburb yesterday, Friday.

Al-Abyad said, in a press conference today, that there are 68 wounded people who were transferred to 12 hospitals.

Al-Abyad revealed that the death toll from the last three Israeli attacks on Tuesday, Wednesday and yesterday in different areas of Lebanon reached 70.

Al-Abyad stressed that “the Israeli attacks on Lebanon are a clear war crime.”

An Israeli warplane launched a raid yesterday afternoon, Friday, targeting the “Al-Jamous” area in the southern suburb.
