Local stock markets strengthened their gains and their market capitalization gained approximately AED 62.2 billion during the week’s trading, supported by positive activity in real estate and industrial stocks.
The market capitalization of listed shares rose from AED 3.578 trillion in last Friday’s session to AED 3.641 trillion at the end of today’s session, distributed as follows: AED 2.894 trillion for shares listed on the Abu Dhabi Securities Exchange and AED 747 billion for shares listed on the Dubai Financial Market.
The market gains achieved during the week were distributed as follows: 51.2 billion dirhams for Abu Dhabi Securities Market shares, and 11 billion dirhams for Dubai Financial Market shares.
The Dubai Financial Market General Index continued its rise for the sixth consecutive week, recording gains of about 1.27% this week to close at 4436.37 points, while the Abu Dhabi Financial Market General Index (FADGI) rose by 0.9% to close at 9438.51 points.
Local stocks attracted liquidity during the week of about 11.2 billion dirhams, distributed as follows: 9.2 billion dirhams in the Abu Dhabi market and 2 billion dirhams in the Dubai market. About 3.6 billion shares were traded through the execution of more than 179,700 transactions.
