Dubai Airports participates in the Gulf Airports CEOs Forum in Muscat

Dubai Airports participated in the first GCC Airports CEOs Forum, held in Muscat. The forum discussed ways to enhance cooperation and develop infrastructure and logistics services between airports in the Gulf Cooperation Council countries, to keep pace with the rapid growth in air travel and transport, and to drive economic development, which will benefit their people.

Majid Al Joker, Chief Operating Officer at Dubai Airports, said: “The participation reflects Dubai Airports’ commitment to enhancing cooperation with airports in the Gulf Cooperation Council countries in order to create an integrated system that contributes to the development of the aviation sector at the regional and international levels.”

He described the forum as a pivotal opportunity to exchange experiences and strategies that would support digital transformation and adopt innovation to enhance operational efficiency and improve the passenger experience at all Gulf airports.

He added that with the continuous growth in the number of passengers, there is an increasing need to develop procedures, adapt infrastructure, and adopt innovative technical solutions that contribute to improving the services provided and raising the level of safety and security at airports, describing the forum as an essential step towards achieving integration between the airports of the GCC countries and ensuring sustainable growth through strategic partnerships that aim to enhance our joint capabilities.

For his part, Sheikh Ayman bin Ahmed Al Hosni, CEO of Oman Airports and former Chairman of the Board of Directors of the Airports Council International, said that cooperation between the airports of the Gulf Cooperation Council countries not only enhances economic integration between them, but also contributes to strengthening their position as a major hub in the global aviation movement. He added that this Gulf partnership contributes to driving innovation and developing the infrastructure to support the sustainable growth of the aviation sector in the long term.
