The Make-A-Wish Foundation, in cooperation with the Emirates Humanitarian City, fulfilled the wishes of 21 sick children from Gaza, who are hosted by the UAE.
The Foundation organized a party in the Humanitarian City with the participation of cartoon characters, which included magic shows and a variety of foods and sweets, in the presence of Mubarak Al-Qahtani, the official spokesperson for the Emirates Humanitarian City, and media figures Maysoun Azzam and Rana Al-Khatib, who participated in fulfilling the children’s wishes with the Foundation’s work team, and a crowd of children from Gaza and their families.
“In this meeting, we are not only fulfilling their wishes, but also affirming the UAE’s commitment to humanity, compassion, and shared responsibility. We are proud that our country’s vision is based primarily on the belief that every child, regardless of their circumstances, has the right to hope, dignity, and the opportunity to succeed,” said Mubarak Al Qahtani, official spokesperson for Emirates Humanitarian City.
In turn, the children of Gaza and their mothers expressed their thanks and gratitude to the UAE for its generous hosting and for providing them with the security and safety they need. They also extended their thanks and appreciation to the Make-A-Wish Foundation and those in charge of the Emirates Humanitarian City for giving them moments of joy and happiness by fulfilling their wishes.
For his part, Hani Al Zubaidi, CEO of the Make-A-Wish Foundation, said: “Embodying the UAE’s steadfast humanitarian approach to standing by our brothers and extending a helping hand to them, we were keen to fulfill the wishes of these children who are in dire need of alleviating their humanitarian and health suffering, to light the candle of hope and optimism in their hearts in light of the critical circumstances their country is going through, and to grant them the happiness they have always dreamed of.”
