In a post on the Truth Social platform, in which he did not mention any specific group, Trump said that the hostages should be released by the time he is sworn in.

On the other hand, Netanyahu said that the ceasefire in Lebanon “Not the end of the war” with Hezbollah.

He added at the government meeting: “We are in a ceasefire, and it is not the end of the war. We have a clear goal, which is to restore the population and rehabilitate the north. We are implementing this ceasefire with an iron fist, and we are working against any violation, whether simple or serious.”

The Israeli Prime Minister continued: “There was a serious violation, and we responded by attacking more than 20 targets throughout Lebanon. We are committed to the ceasefire, but we do not tolerate its violation by the other side.”

He continued: “The situation will not return to what it was on October 6, 2023. The north will be calm and safe.”
