Police in Paphos on Wednesday arrested a 34-year-old man for an investigated case of residential burglary and theft.
According to the police, the theft was reported on September 21 to the Peyia police station, by a 48-year-old foreign permanent resident. The break-in was said to have occurred between 11pm and 6pm and the complainant reported theft of gold items, whose value had not been assessed.
Police established that the perpetrator had entered through the kitchen window, which was breached with a sharp object. Investigations brought up testimony against a 34-year-old man, who was wanted.
The suspect was located on Wednesday, shortly after 5pm, arrested and taken into custody.
The case is under ongoing investigation.
