Six people have been arrested in Paphos for illegal work and employment, the police said on Wednesday.
According to Paphos assistant police operations chief Michalis Nikolaou, during the early hours of Tuesday members of the immigration and labour services visited a hotel in Paphos where they had been told people were working illegally.
Five people were seen working in the gardens of the hotel, later identified as Middle Eastern men aged 18 to 35, all of whom were asylum seekers working for a 45-year-old Greek Cypriot from Limassol. None had the relevant papers.
The five men and their employer were arrested and questioned.
