Jordan’s new government takes constitutional oath

Jordan’s new government was sworn in by King Abdullah on Monday, officials said, tasked with accelerating IMF-backed reforms and implementing political and economic modernization plans.

The new prime minister, Jaafar Hassan, was the director of the Jordanian monarch’s office before forming the government. Hassan was educated at Harvard University.
