CSE and Invest Cyprus forge strategic partnership

CSE and Invest Cyprus forge strategic partnership

The Cyprus Stock Exchange (CSE) and Invest Cyprus, the country’s official investment promotion agency, signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) on Friday.

According to a joint statement from the two organisations, the agreement aims to strengthen their collaborative efforts in attracting investments to Cyprus.

In addition, the announcement said that “the partnership will focus on a structured approach to shared goals, with an emphasis on knowledge-sharing and information exchange, aiming to boost Cyprus’s appeal as a prime destination for international investments”.

Moreover, the MoU outlines a framework for mutual cooperation that includes joint initiatives and actions benefiting both organisations as they adapt to the growing internationalisation of financial services.

This move, the two entities explained, “recognises the importance of aligning strategies in the face of evolving global financial trends”.

“Invest Cyprus has made significant strides in recent years in drawing international technology firms to the island, while the CSE continues to play a critical role in supporting Cyprus’s economic growth by providing a robust platform for companies to raise capital,” the announcement said.

The MoU was signed by Nicos Trypatsas, assistant general manager of the CSE, and Marios Tannousis, chief executive officer of Invest Cyprus.

What is more, the announcement stated that “both organisations will periodically review the MoU’s implementation to identify any needed improvements or additions, ensuring optimal fulfilment of the partnership’s objectives”.
