DeLeMa McCann CEO Despo Lefkariti accepted an honour recently in recognition of the communication agency’s significant contribution and support of the “Miracle Babies” (Mora Thavmata) Association’s mission to aid premature babies and create a new neonatal intensive care unit at Makarios Hospital.
Receiving the plaque, CEO Lefkariti, a founding member of the Association, said it was an honour for her and the entire DeLeMa McCann team to be at the charity’s side, while assuring continued and future support. The agency has supported the Association since 2015, contributing towards its mission and helping to raise awareness about the challenges and consequences of premature birth.
More broadly, since its establishment in 1985, through Corporate Social Responsibility actions, based on an integrated strategy, DeLeMa McCann has supported society’s most vulnerable consistently.
It has backed Europa Donna Cyprus since its inception, developing campaigns and jointly organising the Pink Figures March – the largest patient support event in Cyprus. The agency also contributes to the Cyprus Paraplegics Organisation (OPAK) by holding promotional activities. Furthermore, it supports the George & Thelma Paraskevaides Foundation, which offers specialised services and care to children with serious orthopaedic problems and diseases of the limbs and spine.
At the same time, DeLeMa McCann is there for the needs of many other NGOs, associations and charitable initiatives, such as the Wagon of Love (“Vagoni Agapis”), and collaborates with its clients to aid people in times of crisis, in order to give back to society.
