PIEDMONT TRIAD, N.C. (WGHP) — We’re starting with chilly temperatures, but we’ll warm up nicely later this afternoon. Enjoy mostly sunny skies today with highs in the mid-60s.
A cold front is quickly progressing east today, and as we head into the evening, clouds are going to start to roll across the Piedmont. We’re expecting rain to begin after midnight, making the morning drive soggy with lows in the lower-50s.
The cold front is going to move quickly toward the coast, leaving us with partly cloudy skies on Tuesday. Highs will rise into the mid-60s during the afternoon.
It will be dry Wednesday, though a bit cooler with highs in the upper-50s. A southern storm is forecast to ride to the north across the Carolinas Thursday morning. This will bring rain in for Wednesday night and Thanksgiving Day (80%) and temperatures around 60°.
Sharply colder weather is on the way for the post-Thanksgiving weekend. If you’re going out to find deals on Black Friday, bundle up because temperatures will be in the 40’s most of the day. The high on Friday will squeak up to 50° under mostly sunny skies. Saturday and Sunday, lows will dip into the mid-20s and highs will hold steadily in the mid-40s!
