Monday morning highs in the upper 30s in the Piedmont Triad

PIEDMONT TRIAD, N.C. (WGHP) — Our afternoon temperatures continue to warm up into the start of the Thanksgiving week.

We’ll continue to see mostly clear skies overnight Sunday into early Monday with morning temperatures in the upper 30s Monday morning.

Sunny skies will kick off the holiday week with temperatures reaching the mid-60s into the afternoon. The weather remains dry with southwest winds of 5 to 10 mph, perfect for anyone traveling!

On Tuesday, a weak and mainly dry cold front will move through the Tar Heel State with temperatures in the low 50s in the morning and highs reaching the mid 60s. Stray showers will be possible on Tuesday however most look to remain dry.

Partly cloudy skies on Wednesday with a slight drop in temperatures. We’ll start the morning in the mid-30s with highs reaching the upper 50s, a very seasonable November day.

Thanksgiving Day this year looks soggy with scattered showers likely throughout the day Thursday as a cold front moves through. We’ll see morning temperatures in the upper 30s with highs in the upper 50s. Winds will also be breezy out of the northwest at 10 to 20 mph.

Behind the Thanksgiving Day cold front, temperatures are expected to be quite frigid, the coldest of the season so far. We’ll start Black Friday off in the upper 30s with highs in the upper 40s which means you’ll want to dress very warmly for anyone heading out to shop doorbuster deals Friday.

By the weekend, temperatures will be even colder with mornings in the upper 20s and highs in the mid-40s. A mix of sun and clouds is expected for the weekend.

The first week of December looks to remain very cold with wind chill temperatures possibly even feeling like the 10s.
