11 illegal residents deported after Paphos operation

Police on Thursday said 11 individuals found to be residing in the Republic illegally were deported.

The operation unfolded on Wednesday in Paphos between 4am and 7am.

Five men and six women were identified and were deported to their country of origin at 8pm from a Larnaca airport flight.

The operation involved officers from the asylum and migration unit, as well as the team monitoring the Green Line.
