Ayia Napa Mayor Christos Zannettou on Thursday said that strengthening relations with Polish tourism stakeholders has become a key focus for the Famagusta Regional Tourism Board (Etap).
Zannettou’s remarks were delivered during a meeting with Polish travel agents, currently visiting Ayia Napa as part of a company-organised tour.
In addition, according to an Etap announcement, Zannettou discussed Ayia Napa’s tourism offerings and outlined future plans to boost the sector, following recent local government reforms.
Moreover, the Ayia Napa mayor also noted “the efforts by both the municipality and tourism operators to further extend the tourist season”.
Additionally, he underlined the importance of “wedding and romantic tourism”.
“Extensive reference was also made to the field of wedding tourism in the presence of the competent official of the Deputy Ministry of Tourism, Marina Mylonas,” Etap said.
The statement further noted that “the Polish market has been growing in recent years and the strengthening of relations with Polish tourism operators is a priority of the Famagusta’s Etap”.
