Treating severe strokes was the focus of a conference in Limassol, which offered an opportunity to health professionals, scientists, patients and the public to meet and discuss the latest developments in prevention, diagnosis and recovery.
More than 200 delegates discussed prevention and rehabilitation, as well as psychological and social support for patients and their families.
The organisers said on Wednesday that the conference, held ahead of World Stroke Day (October 29), was attended by many specialists, including neurologists, cardiologists and radiologists.
The conference, organised for the first time in Cyprus by the Cyprus Stroke Association, Tepak, state health services Okypy and the Limassol Doctors’ Association, aspires to become a platform for promoting research and innovation.
