Paphos police arrested a 37-year-old woman on Thursday for an investigated case of assault against a police officer, resisting lawful arrest, and impersonation.
According the police, the woman of African descent was arrested shortly after 6pm when she presented herself at the Paphos airport departures lounge with a French ID, whose photo depicted someone else.
During her interrogation, the suspect pushed a police officer and she was subsequently immediately arrested for assault whereupon she resisted arrest.
The 37-year-old who was identified as an asylum seeker was also arrested for the act of impersonation.
