Nicosia police on Sunday arrested a 32-year-old man for two investigated cases of burglary, committed in the district.
According to the police, officers located the suspect at 11pm on Sunday evening, in Latsia, and proceeded to arrest him under a court warrant.
A search of the 32-year-old’s car, revealed burglary tools and when interrogated by the CID members, the suspect confessed to committing the two burglaries.
The preceding investigation had lead to evidence implicating the man in two break-ins of petrol stations in Strovolos and another area, committed on September 26 and October 6.
A sum of money was stolen from the first petrol station, while no property was stolen from the second. Damages caused during the break-ins were assessed to the value of €80 euros and €400 euros, respectively.
