Regarding the challenges facing the Iraqi government in light of the escalation of military activities by armed factions supported by Iran, Allawi indicated that these factions may drag Iraq into a confrontation with Israel if these pressures continue.

Allawi pointed out that the Iraqi government adopts a policy of neutrality in regional conflicts and continuously seeks to maintain its political and social stability away from military interventions.

He also stressed that the government is cooperating with the international community to ensure that Iraq is not drawn into a regional war.

In the context of security challenges, Allawi pointed out that the Iraqi government is facing difficulty in imposing its control over all armed factions within its territory, which complicates government efforts to maintain internal security.

Despite these challenges, he stressed that the Iraqi government is working to strengthen its military and intelligence capabilities to ensure that the internal situation does not escalate and to ensure the country’s stability in the face of any external threats.

Allawi stressed that Iraq currently does not want to be an arena for regional conflicts or part of the tensions between the major powers in the region.

Speaking about the international role in this crisis, Allawi stressed that the Iraqi government is working to activate its relations with the United States and the Gulf states to confront the possible Israeli escalation.

He said that Iraq seeks to secure international support to maintain its sovereignty and internal security, especially in light of the ongoing escalation in Gaza and the current events in the region.

Allawi pointed out that Iraq is seeking guarantees from the United States and countries in the region to avoid Israeli interventions that might affect Iraq’s security stability.

Regarding the impact of threats on Iraq’s political future, Allawi stressed that Iraq is intensifying its diplomatic efforts to ensure the preservation of internal stability, and that it does not wish to be part of a major regional escalation.

Allawi said that Iraq needs to expand the scope of dialogue with major and regional powers to ensure reaching peaceful solutions away from military conflict.

He pointed out that the crisis in Lebanon and Gaza may further complicate the situation in the region, which requires flexible and quick diplomacy from the Iraqi government.
