HIGH POINT, N.C. (WGHP) — A man is facing a murder charge as the result of a deadly shooting, according to the High Point Police Department.
At around 9:25 p.m. on Monday, officers came to an apartment complex on the 800 block of Lakecrest Avenue after getting a report of an assault with a deadly weapon.
At the scene, they found the victim, Cameron J. Fox, 36, of Winston-Salem, who had been shot. Fox would be declared dead at the scene.
Police arrested the suspect Robert Omar Bailey, 38, of High Point, at the scene. Bailey is being charged with second-degree murder and is being held under no bond.
Investigators say that the fatal shooting came after an argument between Bailey and Fox.
The homicide remains under investigation.
