The annual bicommunal Coast to Coast run will be held on Saturday, uniting runners from Kyrenia and Larnaca in the Nicosia buffer zone.
The total length of the run is 85km, with runners starting at the same time from Larnaca and Kyrenia castles.
For those not attempting a full marathon, there are also races of 1, 3, 6, 10, and 20km.
Scheduled stops for marathon runners to take a break will be held in Lymbia and Dikomo.
There will also be four stops for other people to join the marathon: in the north Kyrenia castle, Bellapais, Dikomo, Nicosia stadium, Ledra Street/Lokmaci Crossing and Eletheria Square. Stops on the Larnaca route will be Lymbia, University of Cyprus, the Academy Park and the Eletheria square.
Runners from both routes will run from Eleftheria Square to the Home for Cooperation.

Last year around 200 runners took place in the event, held to mark International Peace Day 2023.
“The Road Race for the International Day of Peace exemplifies the power of cooperation and the ability of sport to transcend borders by uniting the people of Cyprus,” said head of UNDP Cyprus Jakhongir Khaydarov.
