So the Montgomery County budget shows a tax increase of possibly 9%. I hope the same thing happens here as in the presidential election and the Republican Party takes control. We the people are at the point we can not absorb all the niceties and benefits that come with working for the county. We have our own expenses and can’t just raise our income on the say of two Democrat commissioners. Time for a major change.
For the tailgaters, no matter what speed we drive, right on the speed limit, 5 mph over the limit it’s never good enough for you. Driving down Industrial Hwy. from Armand Hammer Blvd. and turning right on Moser Rd. there is a stop sign there — not a yield sign. 90% of cars and trucks are not stopping there. Industrial Hwy. from Moser Rd. to S. Hanover St. is 25 mph. Nobody going 25 mph and no enforcement. Industrial Hwy. is almost as dangerous to drive as the construction zone on Rt. 422 between Armand Hammer and Sanatoga.
The Dow Jones has been setting records for a while now since Donald Trump looked like he was going to win. When the rubber hit the road and predictions became reality, investors became euphoric and the Dow Jones climbed up 1,400 points. No other news that day to spark the jump. Recently, it was proven that the Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA) was ignoring homes in disaster areas simply because they displayed Trump signs. Fact Check: in response to a Nov. 13 Sound Off posting about the candidacy of Kamala Harris, I want to clarify that Trump was challenged in the primary process by no less than 8 candidates, including Christie, Haley, Ramaswamy, Hutchinson, Burgum, Pence, Scott, and DeSantis. Trump won convincingly. Joe Biden was challenged by Marian Williamson. Biden won, but Kamala replaced Biden! Kamala Harris never received even one vote in the primaries.
