KV-backed Darefore teams up with triathlete to enhance sports technology

Darefore, a KV Fund I portfolio company and leader in cycling and sports technology, has teamed up with world-renowned triathlete Matt Hanson to inspire athletes globally.

Through innovative posture-tracking tools and real-time insights, Darefore empowers athletes to optimise performance, refine form, and reach peak potential.

As a six-time Ironman and seven-time 70.3 champion, Hanson’s recent win at Ironman 70.3 Chattanooga 2024 gave emphasis to his position as an elite competitor and coach.

His commitment to pushing boundaries aligns seamlessly with Darefore’s mission to support athletes in maximising their capabilities.

Through this collaboration, Hanson will not only integrate Darefore’s tracking technology into his training but also share his insights and training tips with followers, illustrating how posture and positioning technology can enhance athletic performance.

“We’re excited to welcome Matt Hanson to the Darefore family,” said Marios Kyriakou, CEO of Darefore.

“We founded Darefore with the mission to empower athletes of all levels to optimise their performance.”

He continued, “Recognising the critical role of posture and positioning in cycling, we developed our innovative technology to provide real-time feedback and insights.”

As Kyriakou further explained, “As our company grew, we realised the time was ripe to partner with a world-class athlete like Matt Hanson to amplify our message and showcase the transformative impact of Darefore on the triathlon and cycling community.”

Hanson, enthusiastic about the collaboration, said, “Throughout my career, I’ve always sought ways to refine my technique and maximise my efficiency.”

He explained that “Darefore has been a game-changer. For the first time, I’ve been able to objectively track my posture, seating position, and other key metrics that directly impact my performance.”

With Darefore’s real-time data insights, Hanson has made targeted adjustments in his training and races, leading to notable improvements in his times and overall efficiency.

“I’m excited to share the benefits of this technology with other athletes, from seasoned professionals to weekend warriors,” he concluded.
