WINSTON-SALEM, N.C. (WGHP) — A driver died after a crash in Winston-Salem on Thursday, according to a Winston-Salem Police Department news release.
Around 6:30 pm, WSPD officers responded to a crash in the 2200 block of Thomasville Road.
Arriving officers found a 2014 Chevrolet Spark. The driver was identified as Thomas Joseph Harper Jr., 71, of Winston-Salem.
Investigators say the Spark was going south on Thomasville Road, went off the road to the right and hit a utility pole.
Harper was the only person in the vehicle. He was pronounced dead on the scene.
