The ministry of foreign affairs on Wednesday repeated warnings to Cypriot citizens to avoid all travel to Lebanon.
It added that those wishing to depart Lebanon are strongly encouraged to take advantage of available commercial flights.
The foreign ministry said it is closely monitoring the deteriorating situation and that security in Lebanon “could deteriorate further without warning”.
Cypriot citizens in Lebanon are advised to avoid all gatherings and demonstrations, to remain vigilant, and to follow the instructions of local authorities.
Additionally, they should closely monitor developments and information from the international and local media, avoid unnecessary movements, and apply maximum security measures.
