The met office on Friday issued a yellow warning for thunderstorms which is valid from 10pm on Saturday until 8pm on Sunday.
Isolated heavy thunderstorms are expected to affect initially the north, the west and the south coastal areas and gradually the rest of the island.
Precipitation rates are expected to exceed the range of 35 millimeters per hour. In storm, hail is expected while surface wind is expected to be variable strengthening.
