Chillin’ on Main transforms Boyertown into winter wonderland

Building a Better Boyertown presents its annual holiday event, Chillin’ on Main, on Saturday, Dec. 7.

Held from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m., visitors of all ages can stroll down Philadelphia Avenue in Boyertown and stop by some of the festively decorated shops and unique vendors to find that perfect gift.

Local businesses and nonprofits will offer a variety of games, crafts, and activities for children and their families. Plus, Santa and Mrs. Claus and other holiday characters will make an appearance.

“The holiday season is upon us, and we’re excited to announce the return of the annual Chillin’ on Main event brought to you by Building a Better Boyertown! This family-friendly celebration will bring together the community for an unforgettable day of festive fun, holiday shopping, delicious treats and live entertainment,” the nonprofit Main Street America program stated in the announcement.

This year Chillin’ on Main will transform downtown Boyertown into a winter wonderland, offering a blend of holiday traditions and some new surprises for visitors of all ages.

Santa and Mrs. Claus will arrive at noon to take photos with families and hear holiday wishes from children. Iconic holiday characters will be available throughout the day to offer more photo-ops. Family activities include face painting, holiday crafts and games.

Shop for unique gifts and seasonal items from a variety of local vendors and storefronts. Enjoy food from local food trucks and restaurants also.

The event also features live entertainment by the Boyertown Alumni Marching Unit and performances by local dancers and twirlers, as well as music from Esjay Entertainment.

“This holiday event has become a beloved tradition in Boyertown, drawing community members each year to celebrate the season and support our vibrant local businesses and vendors. Bundle up and bring your family and friends to experience the magic of Chillin’ on Main!” said BaBB.

Building a Better Boyertown would like to thank Drug Plastics and the Gablesville Athletic Association for their generous support of this year’s event.

Farmer’s market tote bags and bear ornaments will be available at Chillin’ on Main.
