President of the Cyprus Writers’ Centre PEN Angela Christofidou was elected president of the international search committee of the International Union of Writers PEN (PEN International) at the first session of the committee on Monday.
The international committee is assuming its duties following the elections held at the 19th International Congress in Oxford on September 24-27.
The president of the international committee participates in the sessions of the board of directors of International PEN and cooperates with its members, within the scope of the committee’s powers, in cooperation and constant consultation with the other elected members of the committee, Folu Agoi (PEN of Nigeria), Jacob Søndergaard (PEN of Denmark) and Gerardo Montoya (PEN of Argentina).
