Egypt responds to Hemedti’s “accusations” regarding air strikes in Sudan

A statement stated Egyptian Foreign Ministry These allegations come in the midst of diligent Egyptian movements to stop the war, protect civilians, and strengthen the international response to humanitarian relief plans for those affected by the ongoing war in brotherly Sudan.

Hemedti also accused Cairo of training the Sudanese army and supplying it with drones in the war that has been ongoing for approximately 18 months in Sudan between the Rapid Support Forces and the Sudanese army, which has achieved recent progress.

The war that broke out in April 2023 forced nearly 10 million people from their homes, led to widespread hunger and famine, and caused waves of ethnic violence that were largely blamed on the Rapid Support Forces.
