Two arrests after teen injured in alleged robbery near Tonbridge railway station

Two boys have been arrested after a teenage boy suffered facial injuries during an alleged robbery near a train station.

Officers were called to a disturbance near Tonbridge railway station just before 1am today (October 9).

Paramedics attended the scene and a teenage boy was treated for facial injuries and taken to hospital for further medical attention. He has since been discharged.

Two boys aged 17 and 14 have been arrested on suspicion of robbery in Waterloo Road and an investigation is underway.

In a post on X at 4.53am, Southeastern announced that the main station entrance was closed due to “police dealing with an incident”.

In an update just before 8am, the company confirmed it had reopened.
