Chad Brubaker, the longest-tenured head football coach in the Pioneer Athletic Conference, stepped down Wednesday after 15 seasons atop the highly successful Rams program.
“Over the past 15 years, I have had the privilege of witnessing our players grow, not only as athletes but also as young men,” Brubaker posted on X just after 3 p.m on Wednesday. “I am immensely proud of what we have built and accomplished as a program and the resilience we have shown in times of adversity.”
Brubaker compiled a program-record 122 wins as head coach against only 49 defeats over his tenure, leading Spring-Ford to four PAC championships, seven District 1 playoff victories and two District 1 runner-up finishes.
Yet those statistics pale in comparison to his impact on the Spring-Ford program and community as a whole.
“The relationships I have built with players, coaches, and staff members are what I will cherish most,” he added.
Spring-Ford qualified for the District 1-6A playoffs in 2024 for the tenth consecutive season, but their season ended with a loss to Central Bucks South last Friday night.
Brubaker thanked the Spring-Ford administration, community, and all other participants and supporters of the program over the past decade and a half.
“I want to emphasize that I will always be a Ram at heart,” he wrote. “The spirit of Spring-Ford football will forever remain with me.”
The Mercury will have more on Brubaker’s time at Spring-Ford in the coming days.
