Cyprus Shipping Chamber welcomes e-learning academy

The Cyprus Shipping Chamber (CSC) has expressed its support for the innovative e-learning initiative, the ‘ICS Academy’,  launched by the International Chamber of Shipping (ICS) on Wednesday.

ICS, which represents national shipowners’ associations globally, aims to address the growing regulatory challenges faced by the shipping industry.

In a press release, the chamber emphasised the significance of the academy in ensuring that shipping companies uphold high standards of compliance with international regulatory frameworks, as well as maintaining operational excellence.

It also expressed its support for ICS’s efforts to further the professional development of seafarers, contributing to the industry’s commitment to safety, sustainability, and regulatory compliance.

Additionally, the CSC noted its anticipation of the positive impact this initiative is set to have on both shipping crews and companies worldwide.
