Power outage for 1.3 million users in America due to “Helen”

Outages decreased from about 1.7 million yesterday, Tuesday, as electricity continued to be restored. In all, the storm caused outages for about 5.5 million users, most of them in the Southeast.

Hurricane Helen and the accompanying winds and rain killed more than 160 people.

The company said (Duke Energywhich provides electricity services in the states of North and South Carolina, and whose customers were the most affected, said yesterday, Tuesday, that it had restored electricity to approximately 1.6 million users in the two states and expects all services to be restored by Friday night.
