White Horse Village announces board leadership transition

White Horse Village, a nonprofit senior living community in Edgmont Township, Delaware County, has announced a transition in the leadership of its board of directors from Pamela Hansen to Michael Hammond, while deepening the experience and talent of the board with the addition of three experienced and exceptional leaders.

Hansen served on the board for nine years and stepped into the role of chair in 2022. Her leadership has been instrumental in the growth and success of White Horse Village. She successfully oversaw a CEO transition, the acquisition of 13 acres adjacent to campus and an exterior facelift of over 200 homes.

“White Horse Village is a special, unique place with an amazing culture and residents,” she said.

Hammond has been a member of the board for 16 years, leveraging his financial expertise as a CPA to benefit White Horse Village. His professional career includes leadership positions in the healthcare industry.

“I am honored to step into the role of chair and excited about working closely with the talented board members,” Hammond said. “I look forward to continuing the White Horse Village’s 35-year tradition of creating exceptional senior living experiences while fostering a supportive and innovative environment that enhances the well-being of residents and team members. Together, we will live our vision of inspiring a world of possibilities on life’s journey.”

The three new board members are Anthony J. Buividas, Cheryl Kiley and Cathy Mikus. Their diverse backgrounds and healthcare industry expertise will bring fresh perspectives and enhance the board’s ability to serve the community.
