At an election rally, she said Kamala Harry: “Let’s vote, let’s go to the polls, let’s win. 24 hours separate us from the finish line (…) We will either succeed together or fail together.”
Harris added, “We are a people-based campaign, and we see that in our partners and neighbors… We must focus on the common points and reject the divisions in American society.”
Opinion polls show a tight race, with Harris (60 years old) and Vice President Joe Biden receiving strong support from women, while the former president enjoys strong support from women. Trump (78 years old) with support among Hispanic voters, especially men.
A poll conducted by Reuters/Ipsos showed that voters in general do not prefer any of the candidates, but that does not deter them from casting their votes.
The University of Florida Elections Laboratory revealed that about 76 million Americans have already cast their votes, which is close to half of the total number of votes cast in 2020, amounting to 160 million votes. That year witnessed the largest participation rate in more than a century.
