Early childhood centres in Dubai achieved an annual growth of 10.6% during the current academic year 2024-2025, as 29 new early childhood centres were opened, bringing the total number of centres in Dubai to 303 centres, compared to 274 centres last year.
The Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) curriculum is the most widely used in the early childhood sector in Dubai, followed by the Montessori curriculum, then the American curriculum, in addition to various other curricula.
Dubai’s early childhood centres receive more than 27,000 children and implement 16 diverse educational curricula and programmes in the main teaching languages, including Arabic, English and French, and additional languages including Chinese, Russian, Spanish and Swedish.

A recent report by the Knowledge and Human Development Authority in Dubai revealed that 69% of students enrolled in early childhood centres are between the ages of two and four years, and nearly 80% of children attend early childhood centres in Dubai 5 days a week. Early childhood centres include more than 1,700 teachers and 2,500 teaching assistants.
The Authority provides parents with a service to search for early childhood centers in Dubai according to geographical location through the educational institutions directory available on the Knowledge Authority website in addition to the Authority’s application on smartphones, stressing that the early childhood stage constitutes the main foundation in building children’s personalities and developing their skills at early ages.
