The 26th Water, Energy, Technology and Environment Exhibition (WETEX) hosts 21 international pavilions from around the world. The exhibition witnesses the participation of more than 2,800 companies from 65 countries, in addition to 68 sponsoring institutions and 37 partners and supporting associations.

Dubai Electricity and Water Authority is organising WETEX from 1 to 3 October 2024 at the Dubai World Trade Centre.

HE Saeed Mohammed Al Tayer, MD & CEO of DEWA and Founder and Chairman of WETEX, said: “We welcome the expansion of international pavilions at WETEX to include more companies specialised in providing the latest innovative solutions in sustainability, clean and renewable energy, green mobility, sustainable water solutions, smart grids and others from around the world. We are proud of the exhibition’s growing global status and the fact that it has become a major anticipated stop on the agenda of companies and institutions from the public and private sectors from all over the world, who wish to reach more investors and markets, build business relationships, conclude deals, enhance business opportunities, exchange the most prominent technologies, practices and successful experiences, and join us to be at the forefront of sustainability.”

India
“The relationship between WAPTAG and WETEX is growing stronger every year, just like the relationship between the UAE and India. The participation of the group’s members has increased by about 50% compared to last year, and we look forward to even greater participation in the coming years,” said Rishabh Sanghvi, Vice President, Water Purification and Treatment Association of Gujarat (WAPTAG).

Belgium
“We are delighted to host six outstanding companies from the Walloon region under the umbrella of the Belgian Pavilion. With a wide range of sectors, such as water treatment, processing, IT and green hydrogen, we can be sure that our expertise will contribute to the efforts to combat climate change and its impacts,” said Edith Maio, Economic Advisor at the Walloon Export and Investment Agency (AWEX).

She added: The UAE is Belgium’s first trading partner in the Arab world, with a share of 21% of its trade with Arab countries in 2022, worth $8.3 billion.

Italy
In turn, Valerio Soldani, Italian Trade Commissioner to the UAE and Director of the Italian Trade Agency Office in Dubai, said: “I am proud to announce Italy’s return to WETEX 2024. The Italian pavilion organized by the Italian Trade Agency and the participation of this large number of Italian companies embody Italy’s keenness and commitment to driving sustainable innovation and promoting the green economy.”

Belarus
“We are grateful to DEWA for providing the opportunity for the National Marketing Centre, as the leading national institution for the promotion of foreign trade, to organize the Belarusian pavilion at WETEX. This is an important opportunity for our companies to showcase their latest technologies and effective solutions, which confirms the huge potential of our country for developing cooperation,” said Mikalai Barysevich, Director General of the National Marketing Centre of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Belarus.
