SURRY COUNTY, N.C. (WGHP) — Dig around your junk drawer, glove compartment or wherever else you may have discarded an old lottery ticket because an unclaimed winner is expiring on Tuesday.
A Carolina Cash 5 lottery ticket that was purchased at the Sheetz on 119 South Main Street in Dobson on May 16 still remains unclaimed.
The ticket won a $110,000 jackpot prize and expires on Tuesday.
The winning numbers were: 5, 15, 36, 40, 43
“Search everywhere you keep your tickets and double-check any you have to see if you have the winning ticket,” said Mark Michalko, chief executive officer of the N.C. Education Lottery. “We hope that whomever purchased this ticket comes forward to claim their prize soon so we can celebrate their big win with them.”
The odds of matching all five white balls were 1 in 962,598.
To claim the prize, the winner must present their winning ticket at lottery headquarters in Raleigh by 5 p.m. on Tuesday, which is the end of the 180-day period for winners.
